Jo Hill’s Glastonbury

I’ve been listening to Glastonbury a lot, and it reminds me of you. I cannot write you a letter here because I think you’ll stick around for me.

It’s hard when people promise you forever but quickly disappear when things don’t go their way. I haven’t been believing those promises for a while. However, you’re unlike anyone I’ve ever met, and that’s what makes you amazing. “Amazing” may sound cliché, but it’s the only word that captures everything I want to say about you. You possess qualities like kindness, patience, care, thoughtfulness, and a great sense of humor.

Sometimes I really wonder if it’s all true. I’ve had too many experiences that have made me skeptical of words and even kind gestures. Perhaps I’ve dated too many unkind individuals. I am somewhat guarded when it comes to trusting my gut in relationships.

It’s hard to know what you’re thinking when we’re far apart because of my problems and insecurities. I caused the problem of being far apart, and I’ve been hurt in the past. I’m making it all up in my head. We just started, but I feel like I made so many obstacles to make it easy. Could you save some time for me until we meet again? I know we’ll have all the missed summertime in the fall. I promise that I’ll make it up to you so save a little time for me.

Light me up, we’re just getting started, started

Spin around, baby, on the summer breeze
Kicking off your shoes, save a little dance for me
Hoo-ooh-hoo, hoo
Hoo-ooh-hoo, hoo

Take my hand, baby, like you’ll never leave
I got nothing but time, so save a little time for me
